Hi, thanks for popping by – I’m Richard Shore.

I was born and raised by the sea in Sussex, UK, and moved to Co. Waterford, Ireland in 2009.

Having travelled and worked abroad, and with a passion for the outdoors and writing, I wanted to combine my love for books and create imaginative short adventure stories for young children.

Perfect for a bedtime story and early readers – these inspiring tales fire the imagination and rekindle a love for being in nature.

I’m sure the young age range these wonderful little books are aimed at will lap all four up. You know when children say: “Can you read this to me again” for their bedtime story night after night? That will happen here.

I would highly recommend The Tangled Tuna and Poppy’s other adventures in the Hurrahtum Adventures! series.

Learning about Richard Shore and his books has reinforced a belief of mine: parents can do so much to instil a love of reading and learning in their children.

I love them! These books are brilliantly written and always spark great ideas about the great outdoors in young minds.

I am a huge fan of Poppy's effort to save her tuna friends. There should be more children's stories focused on helping our ocean friends! Good short read for kids who are curious about the fishes in the sea.

These short adventure mysteries give lots for little minds to think about and are worth reading over and over again.
